Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Public Sector and Not-for-Profit are recruiting an Income Management Officer for a 6-week assignment with a Housing Association. An enhanced DBS is required and you will be in the office 4 days per week.

You will assess residents' financial situations, coach on rent accounts or payment plans, and coordinate with agencies to recover debt in line with internal procedures. You will safeguard vulnerable residents and refer to social services when needed.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS required.
• Experience in a social housing background.
• Familiarity with Notices Before Claim process for long-term rent arrears.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an up-to-date picture of each resident's rent account.
• Build relationships with external agencies (DWP, Housing Benefit, advice services).
• Refer residents to specialist services (Citizens Advice Bureau, welfare benefits advice, food bank).
• Escalate to debt collection agency after exhausted recovery efforts, per procedures.
