Job summary

Dudley Council is seeking a Rent Accounting Officer to manage service charges, refunds, and tenancy enquiries. The role focuses on frontline Direct Debit administration and maintaining the rent system for thousands of council tenants.

You will have experience in financial or administrative roles, GCSEs including Maths, be computer literate and customer-focused, and provide accurate rent calculations and timely responses to tenants.

Qualifications

• Experience in a financial, administrative or accountancy role.
• GCSE level qualifications including Maths at grade C or above.
• Computer literate and customer focused.

Responsibilities

• Front line Direct Debit service, speaking to tenants by phone and processing payments.
• Calculate refunds and rent adjustments; handle arrears and repayment plans.
• Reconcile income streams and provide performance data.
• Maintain rent system for council tenants.
