Job summary

Octopus Energy in the United Kingdom is recruiting for a field engineer role focused on installing low carbon technology in customers’ homes, starting with Air Source Heat Pumps. You will apply your heating and plumbing experience to assemble and install unvented cylinders, pipework and radiators.

You will work closely with a two-person team and customers, planning effectively and communicating progress while continuously learning about new technologies at our R&D training centre.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 NVQ in Plumbing and Heating or Mechanical Engineering Services - Plumbing (domestic) AND/OR Gas Qualified with CCN1 and CENWAT, held for a minimum of three years
• Experience on the ‘wet’ side of domestic heating systems
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Working as part of a team of two to install low carbon technology in customers’ homes, starting with Air Source Heat Pumps
• Using knowledge of domestic heating and plumbing to prepare and install unvented cylinders, pipework, and radiators
• Planning and communicating with the wider team and customers
• Continuously learning about new technologies at our R&D training centre
