Job summary

Octopus Energy Services in England is recruiting Plumbers to install Air Source Heat Pumps as part of the renewable energy rollout. You’ll join a training-focused team and begin learning new technologies from day one.

You’ll install low carbon technology in customers’ homes in a two-person crew, handle unvented cylinders, piping, and radiators, and coordinate with customers and the wider team. Full Level 2 NVQ in Plumbing and Heating or CCN1/CENWAT plus a valid UK driving licence are required;

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 NVQ in Plumbing and Heating or Mechanical Engineering Services - Plumbing (domestic) AND/OR Gas Qualified with CCN1 and CENWAT, held for a minimum of three years
• Experience on the ‘wet’ side of domestic heating systems
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Working as part of a team of two to install low carbon technology in customers’ homes, starting with Air Source Heat Pumps.
• Using your knowledge and experience of domestic heating and plumbing systems to prepare and install unvented cylinders, pipework, and radiators
• Planning and communicating with the wider team and customers
• Continuously learning about new technologies at our innovative R&D training centre
