Job summary

Octopus Energy Services is hiring plumbers to install Air Source Heat Pumps across England. You will work in a two-person team at customers’ homes, delivering low carbon heating solutions with training from our innovative R&D centre.

We’re looking for candidates with Level 2 NVQ or Gas qualifications, experienced in domestic heating systems, and a full UK driving licence. Competitive salary (£26k–£30k) with bonus and benefits, and a London weighting if applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 NVQ in Plumbing and Heating or Mechanical Engineering Services - Plumbing (domestic) AND/OR Gas Qualified with CCN1 and CENWAT, held for a minimum of three years.
• Experience on the ‘wet’ side of domestic heating systems.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Working as part of a two-person team to install low carbon technology in customers’ homes, starting with Air Source Heat Pumps.
• Using knowledge of domestic heating/plumbing to prepare and install unvented cylinders, pipework, and radiators.
• Planning and communicating with the wider team and customers.
• Continuously learning about new technologies at our R&D training centre.
