Job summary

NTT DATA UK is seeking a z/OS Mainframe Systems Programmer Lead to join our expanding team across the UK and Europe. You will provide technical leadership for enterprise mainframe platforms, overseeing design, implementation, and ongoing support of large-scale z/OS infrastructures.

You will bring 15+ years hands-on IBM z/OS experience and 5+ years in leadership, with strong RACF, JCL, SMP/E, TSO/ISPF, RMF, and OMEGAMON skills.

Qualifications

15+ years hands-on IBM z/OS systems programming experience.
5+ years leading mainframe infrastructure or systems programming teams.
Experience in banking/financial services environments is preferred.
Expert knowledge of z/OS internals, RACF security, JCL, SMP/E, TSO/ISPF, RMF and OMEGAMON.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and ownership of the enterprise mainframe platform.
Design, implement, upgrade, and support z/OS infrastructure environments.
Lead platform modernization, automation, and performance improvements.
Mentor junior and senior systems programmers and coordinate vendor activity.
Ensure security, compliance, and disaster recovery readiness.
