Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a detail-oriented UK Senior Payroll Analyst to join our EMEA Payroll team. You will oversee end-to-end UK payroll operations, ensure accurate data, validate calculations, and collaborate with our external vendor to resolve queries and drive improvements.

This role requires deep UK payroll expertise, strong Excel/Sheets skills, and the ability to optimize processes while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Remote work options within the UK are supported.

Qualifications

• Proven direct experience in UK Payroll Operations (in-house or vendor side).
• In-Depth UK Payroll Expertise: tax calculations, National Insurance (NI), salary sacrifice schemes, system wagetype setup, and payroll project management.
• System & Tech Proficiency with core HRIS (Workday) and case management platforms (ServiceNow).
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets formulas and a forward-thinking approach to using AI adaptation to enhance automation, data validation, and accuracy.
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities with root-cause analysis and customer-interfacing communications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, prepare, review, and execute accurate UK payroll processing and data submission to the vendor.
• Partner with external payroll vendor to monitor SLAs and payroll cycles; support annual processes and payroll initiatives.
• Act as a key contact for employee compensation queries and resolve escalations with WFA teams.
• Document and refine payroll processes; drive automation and data validation using Excel/Sheets and AI tools.
• Track case volumes, resolution metrics, and service level performance for internal and external partners.
• Ensure compliance with UK payroll regulations, tax laws, NI standards, and company policies.
