Job summary

Fortis Recruitment is recruiting a Technical Claims Team Lead for a remote (UK-based) role. You will lead a growing team of claims handlers, taking ownership of performance, coaching, and people management as the team scales.

The ideal candidate has proven insurance claims leadership experience, strong complaints handling and QA skills, and breadth across product lines. High-volume, fast-turnaround claims experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven claims leadership experience within insurance.
• Strong grounding in complaints handling and quality assurance.
• Experience across multiple product lines (motor, property, travel) is valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of claims handlers, owning performance, coaching and people management as the team scales.
• Set the standard on KPIs and output, keeping the team performing and improving.
• Manage workload allocation and capacity planning to balance productivity with quality.
• Run quality checks across claims files and coach the team to raise standards.
• Oversee the wider claims portfolio including complaints, QA, fraud, recoveries and payment controls.
