Job summary

GitLab is seeking a Professional Services Technical Architect to lead the technical direction of customer engagements from scoping to delivery. You will design high-level architectures and plans for GitLab infrastructure, coordinating across Professional Services and partners to ensure deliverables meet requirements and the SOW.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication for customer and partner discussions.
• Experience delivering architecture designs and migration plans for cloud/on-premises.
• Ability to guide projects across teams with minimal supervision.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT/CS or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design reference architectures for self-managed and cloud environments.
• Lead migrations and CI/CD transitions to GitLab for enterprise clients.
• Create delivery kits, docs, and enablement materials for teams and partners.
• Steer full technical delivery lifecycle from scoping to handoff.
• Produce high-level and detailed designs aligned with requirements.
• Evaluate scalability and security trade-offs in architectures.
• Deploy and configure GitLab in customer environments (cloud/on‑prem).
• Mentor teams and contribute to training materials.
