Job summary

EGIS is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support project managers and clients from concept through delivery to financial close. You will manage commercial aspects, handle contract procurement, and ensure cost reporting aligns with budgets and client requirements.

The role involves working within a multi-disciplinary team on varied projects at the forefront of the UK's drive to decarbonise the power industry. Applicants should have NEC/FIDIC experience and a readiness to travel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in T&D or related field.
• Self-starter, capable of working remote from management.
• Experience on high voltage substation construction projects desirable.
• Experience with NEC and FIDIC forms of contract.
• Proficient in MS Outlook and MS Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Own car with full driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external parties.
• Support project team in establishing commercial contracts and providing risk management guidance.
• Undertaken procurement activities and tender analysis for sub-contractors.
• Assist in Early Warnings, Compensation Events and PM communications.
• Monitor cost reporting and ensure applications for payment are justified and accurate.
• Provide contract and risk management support and participate in Risk Reduction meetings.
• Maintain records of commercial and contract administration activities.
