Job summary

EGIS is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support project managers and clients from concept through financial close. You will handle commercial management for diverse power sector projects, ensuring value for money and regulatory compliance across NEC3/NEC4 contracts.

You will build relationships with stakeholders, manage procurement and risk, and oversee cost reporting, cashflow, and contractor payments. A UK travel-ready self-starter with strong Excel and MS Outlook skills is required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in contract management and risk assessment for projects.
  • Strong cost reporting and payment justification capabilities.
  • Proficiency with NEC3/NEC4 and experience with FIDIC is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to travel and drive if required.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external parties.
  • Support commercial contracts and provide risk guidance.
  • Undertake procurement, tender analysis, and award recommendations.
  • Prepare Early Warnings, Compensation Events and PMIs.
  • Manage cost reporting, cashflow forecasts and spend vs budgets.
  • Provide contract and risk support in governance meetings.
  • Ensure contract activities comply with legislation and client policies.
  • Attend construction sites to review progress and verify payments.
