Job summary

Egis, via its Omnia Projects team, seeks a Quantity Surveyor to support commercial delivery on high‑voltage substations and related T&D projects in the UK. You will work with project managers to manage contracts, control costs and drive timely financial close across diverse scopes.

You will contribute to procurement, risk management and cost reporting while ensuring compliance with NEC3/NEC4 and, where applicable, FIDIC contracts.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in a commercial/quantity surveying role.
  • Self-starter, able to work remotely from management.
  • Experience on high voltage substation projects is desirable.
  • Experience with NEC/NEC3/NEC4 and FIDIC forms of contract.
  • Strong MS Office skills including Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have a full driving licence and be willing to travel for business.

Responsibilities

  • Support project managers and clients from concept/design through delivery and financial close.
  • Manage commercial contracts and provide risk management guidance.
  • Prepare procurement activities, tender analyses and recommendations to award.
  • Assist in Early Warnings, Compensation Events and project communications.
  • Monitor contract expenditure, budgets and forecasts; ensure value for money.
  • Produce cost reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to commercial/contract responses to clients and subcontractors.
  • Attend project and progress meetings with clients and subcontractors.
