Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an experienced SQL Reporting Analyst to support a busy data and reporting function on an initial 3-month contract. You will deliver ad hoc reports, optimise SQL queries and build SQL views within a remote, UK-based environment.

The role requires strong SSMS experience, the ability to write complex SQL, and familiarity with Power BI/Power Query. Immediate start, with potential extension and a fully remote setup.

Qualifications

• Strong SSMS experience and ability to write complex SQL queries
• Experience with operational and management reporting
• Power BI and Power Query experience
• Microsoft Access and VBA skills
• Experience supporting stakeholders with data and reporting requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently in a remote environment

Responsibilities

• Deliver ad hoc reports and respond to business data requests
• Write and optimise SQL queries
• Build and maintain SQL views
• Work directly with database tables and reporting datasets
• Support and enhance existing reports and dashboards
• Investigate and resolve data-related queries
• Improve reporting documentation and processes
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements
• Support automation initiatives using Desktop Flows where appropriate
