Job summary

VIQU Limited is recruiting a Senior Software Engineer to help shape a new cloud-native platform. You’ll design features end-to-end, mentor a junior AI developer, and collaborate with senior leadership on scalable architecture. This is a remote role with occasional company-wide meetups in the UK.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in React/TypeScript, Python or Node.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS serverless microservices, plus prior greenfield or large-scale refactor work.

Qualifications

• Senior level full stack engineer experience.
• Comfortable across React/TypeScript, Python or Node.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS serverless/microservices.
• Contributed to a greenfield build, major refactor, or distributed systems.
• Experience with accounting, financial or ERP software would be nice to have.
• Mentoring less experienced developers.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building features across the full stack: React/TypeScript on the front end, Python/Node.js on the back, PostgreSQL for data, all running on AWS serverless/microservices.
• Help to shape technical design and architecture decisions for the new platform.
• Mentor a junior AI developer and help raise the engineering standard across the team.
• Work in an AI-first environment with modern AI-assisted dev tools already part of the day-to-day workflow.
