Job summary

SmartChoice International Limited is seeking a Full Stack Developer in the United Kingdom to join our engineering team building scalable, cloud-based applications. You will work on backend services and modern UI using Python and React.

Your role includes designing and integrating REST APIs and microservices, creating responsive frontend experiences, and collaborating with Architecture, Product, QA and DevOps in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong Python development with FastAPI, Flask or Django.
• Experience with REST, microservices and OOP.
• Good knowledge of SQL/database design.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL or SQL Server; MongoDB is a plus.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Hands-on exposure to Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD.
• Git-based development and version control.
• Event-driven systems using Kafka or RabbitMQ.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance full-stack applications using Python and React.js.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and microservices.
• Create responsive, high-quality frontend experiences.
• Work closely with Architecture, Product, QA and DevOps teams.
• Improve application performance, reliability and security.
• Contribute to code reviews, testing and technical improvements.
• Investigate and resolve application or production issues.
• Follow Agile/Scrum delivery practices.
• Experience working on enterprise-scale platforms.
