Job summary

Balfour Beatty is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support the Scottish Power framework across the Central Belt of Scotland. You will manage costs, procurement and commercial duties across multiple projects. The role requires experience in construction, NEC contract exposure, and strong computer literacy.

You may supervise junior staff and drive value engineering while ensuring quality standards. We offer a competitive salary with bonus opportunities, 25 days annual leave, pension contributions

Qualifications

• Degree in construction or business (or equivalent).
• Pursuing or holding a post-degree qualification (e.g., RICS).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Experience in construction.
• Experience with NEC contracts.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to governance requirements (BMS & GMCEs).
• Use ERP and Digital Systems for information.
• Measure, record and value work unsupervised.
• Prepare cost reconciliation statements.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities and Schedules of Rates.
• Build up estimates from first principles including net and gross.
• Review and plan programmes and commercial activities.
• Manage subcontract inquiries and procurement information.
