Job summary

Gallagher Bassett is seeking a Property Loss Adjuster to manage a diverse caseload of property claims across the North of England. This remote-based role involves visiting client sites 2–3 days per week and coordinating with insurers, brokers, and contractors to deliver outcomes.

The role requires strong claims management and negotiation skills, with experience in both domestic and commercial property claims and an emphasis on integrity and professional service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience handling domestic and commercial property claims.
• Strong knowledge of claims management, investigation and settlement.
• Ability to assess policy coverage, liability and quantum.
• Experience liaising with insurers, policyholders, contractors and other stakeholders.
• CILA and/or CII qualifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of property claims (commercial and domestic).
• Investigate losses and produce detailed reports and recommendations.
• Assess policy coverage, liability and quantum.
• Negotiate settlements and pursue recoveries where appropriate.
• Liaise with insurers, policyholders, brokers, builders and other stakeholders throughout the claims lifecycle.
• Oversee repair works where required and attend client meetings/site visits.
