Job summary

Gallagher Bassett is seeking a Field Team Manager to lead a team of Loss Adjusters across a designated UK area. The role combines leadership, technical expertise, and hands-on claims management to ensure high-standard service for clients, brokers and policyholders.

You will manage performance, provide coaching, review reports, and build strong stakeholder relationships while working remotely with travel as needed. UK work eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Leadership and people management experience leading fee-earning teams.
• Deep knowledge of loss adjusting, claims handling, and insurance principles.
• Track record of managing KPIs and delivering results.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• CILA and/or CII qualifications advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Loss Adjusters, driving performance against targets.
• Conduct regular one-to-ones, performance reviews and appraisals.
• Partner with technical leaders for coaching and development opportunities.
• Personally manage a portfolio of claims with timely resolution.
• Provide technical guidance and escalation for complex claims.
• Review and approve reports for accuracy, compliance and quality.
• Build relationships with clients, brokers, policyholders and stakeholders.
• Monitor workloads to meet SLAs and business objectives.
• Foster a positive, collaborative and high-performing team culture.
