Allan Webb Ltd seeks an experienced Platform Lead Author for its Technical Publications team, working on Leonardo Helicopters projects. You will lead a team, manage day-to-day operations and liaise with the Leonardo Project Manager to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to budgets.

This homebased role with occasional travel to Yeovil or Stonehouse and a senior practice in rotary wing publications make this a key leadership position on high-profile defence work.

Qualifications

• Senior author with 3+ years in technical publications.
• Rotary wing aircraft knowledge for guidance to authors.
• Experience with Eagle/EPS for tasking data modules.
• Helix knowledge to task statements and assessments.
• HNC or engineering apprenticeship in aviation-related subject.
• Knowledge of ASD S1000D 2.1/2.2, Def-Stan 00-60, S2000M, ATA2-02-90.
• STE (ASD-STE-100) proficiency.
• Familiarity with Enovia and Catia for engineering drawings.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Run day-to-day platform operations and manage workflow distribution.
• Close down Buildlists on completion and inform Leonardo Helicopters.
• Maintain team productivity and adequate workload.
• Provide status reports to the Leonardo Project Manager.
• Escalate issues to the Leonardo Project Manager promptly.
• Ensure platform outputs meet quality standards and deadlines.
• Maintain data control and reporting across tasks.
