Job summary
Sporty seeks a Manager of Payment Operations to own payment strategies and lead a global team delivering a seamless payments experience for millions of users. You will collaborate with product and engineering across a remote-first organisation to drive improvements, risk management, and scalable payment solutions.
You will monitor KPIs, manage fraud prevention, stay ahead of regulatory changes, and mentor a diverse team across geographies.
Qualifications
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Advance knowledge of global payment systems and rules.
- Experience in fraud, risk, KYC, investigations and risk management.
- Proven experience leading and building a team.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision making for payment operations.
- Experience in payments ops within tech/fintech/gaming is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Define, own and manage core payment operations and key KPIs.
- Oversee fraud prevention and risk management policies and procedures.
- Analyse market trends to improve CX and payment efficiency.
- Monitor metrics and drive improvements to core KPIs.
- Lead investigations into suspected fraud with rigorous data review.
- Collaborate with product and engineering to resolve challenges and improve CX.
- Recruit, manage and mentor a geographically distributed team.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and payment landscape.
