Pliant is seeking a Head of Payment Operations to lead and scale our payment operations across markets. You will own operational performance, strengthen controls and partner relationships to support growth in card issuing and payments.

You will work with senior management across regulated entities to ensure compliance with local requirements, build efficient processes, and manage a geographically distributed team of managers and specialists.

Formación

• 8–10 years in payments, issuing, acquiring, banking or fintech operations.
• 3+ years of people leadership, managing managers or multi-location teams.
• Strong understanding of card schemes, issuer processing and payment lifecycle.
• Experience designing scalable controls and operational metrics in a regulated environment.
• Comfortable working with external banking and card scheme partners.
• Analytical and commercially minded with data-to-action capabilities.
• Clear written and verbal communication, hands-on problem solving.
• Knowledge of UK EMI requirements under EMR 2011, PSD2 and FCA safeguarding rules.

Responsabilidades

• Own Payment Operations strategy, operating model, plans and performance reporting.
• Lead day-to-day operations across card issuing, processing, flows, settlement and treasury interfaces.
• Define and monitor SLAs, authorization performance, costs and quality.
• Drive standardisation, automation and tooling improvements.
• Build and develop a geographically distributed team with clear accountability.
• Manage relationships with card schemes, processors and banking partners.
• Partner with Risk, Compliance, Data and Legal on obligations and audits.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Finance, Data and Commercial to launch products.
• Oversee major incidents, root-cause analysis and senior updates.
• Act as FCA-registered EMD Individual for Pliant Payments Ltd and ensure regulatory compliance.
