Job summary

Equals is seeking a Head of Payment & Banking Operations to own the operational engine behind cross-border payments. You will lead settlement, reconciliation, investigations, and compliance, coordinating with banks, schemes and processors to ensure cost-efficient processing and reliable funds movement.

You will drive a hands-on, high-performing team, push automation, and own on-call resilience while maintaining strong controls and partner relationships in a fast-growing fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading payment operations in regulated payments, e-money or fintech.
• 7+ years in payments with 3+ years managing managers.
• Experience owning reconciliation controls and evidencing to auditors.

Responsibilities

• Own daily processing across payment rails, cut-off management, funding execution and settlement.
• Lead payment investigations desk with SLAs and live status for customer teams.
• Own scheme compliance, attestations and partner liaison with banks and processors.
• Drive automation roadmap for reconciliation, exception triage, and payment tracking.
