Job summary

Boskalis Subsea Services in Aberdeen is offering an onshore ROC ROV Pilot Trainee role to train new entrants for remote subsea operations. Based in the Remote Operations Centre (ROC), you will learn foundational technical skills, piloting techniques, digital workflows and real-time support under supervision.

Qualifications

• Completion of an IMCA-approved ROV introductory course.
• Aptitude for technical systems and data interfaces.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Interest in subsea robotics and remote operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and supporting remote ROV operations from the ROC.
• Learn piloting of ROVs via simulators and real-time systems.
• Participate in pre-dive checks, mission planning, and post-operation documentation.
• Observe subsea operations, sensor readings, and video feeds.
• Support data collection and tagging during ROV missions.
• Complete training modules and assessments as part of a development plan.
• Contribute to a safe, organized ROC work environment.
• Attend briefings, debriefings, and technical training sessions.
• Report observations to Senior Pilots or the ROC Supervisor.
