Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced Liability Claims Handler to join its specialist Casualty Liability Team. You will manage a diverse caseload of casualty and personal injury claims for public sector clients, handling claims through to settlement.

The role offers remote or hybrid working, a 35-hour week, and opportunities for progression as you build expertise in policy wordings, liability assessment, and negotiations.

Qualifications

• Experience handling casualty/liability claims through to settlement.
• Ability to value an injury loss.
• Understanding of policy wordings and the insurance market.
• Knowledge of civil procedure rules and the claims portal.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; good planning and organisation.

Responsibilities

• Handle casualty/personal injury claims through to settlement.
• Verify policy cover and validity.
• Log and record all claims digitally.
• Investigate allocated claims, from desk or via loss adjusters.
• Refer to a field adjuster for site investigations when needed.
• Gather evidence and relevant documentation.
• Determine liability and negotiate settlements.
• Stay updated with industry changes and training.
