Job summary

Adjusting Appointments Limited is seeking an experienced Liability Claims Handler to join their Casualty Liability Team. You will manage a diverse caseload of casualty liability claims for public sector clients, handling claims through to settlement.

Hybrid or remote working is available; the role offers 35 hours per week with attractive benefits including pension and healthcare options, and opportunities for progression within a specialist claims environment.

Qualifications

• Liability/casualty claims handling experience
• Experience settling claims through to final resolution
• Ability to value an injury loss
• Understanding of insurance policy wordings
• Knowledge of civil procedure rules and the claims portal
• Strong communication and organisational skills

Responsibilities

• Handle casualty/personal injury claims through to settlement
• Verify policy cover/validity
• Log and record all claims digitally
• Investigate allocated claims
• Refer to a field adjuster for site investigation where needed
• Gather all necessary evidence and documentation
• Determine appropriate action for resolution
• Make liability decisions and negotiate settlements
• Keep up to date with industry changes and training
