Job summary

Anchor is recruiting a hands-on IT Workplace Engineer to support colleagues across care homes, offices and housing locations. The role covers remote and on-site work, with travel across Anchor sites and a focus on modern workplace tech, devices, and connectivity.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting modern workplace technologies in a multi-site environment.
• Strong troubleshooting across Windows devices, networking, Wi‑Fi, and peripherals.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Intune and endpoint management principles.
• Experience with device deployments and lifecycle activities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Understanding of ITIL Incident and Problem Management practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and on-site support for devices, Microsoft 365, telephony, Wi‑Fi, networking, printing, collaboration tools and telecare systems.
• Take ownership of complex technical issues, troubleshooting to identify root causes and practical solutions.
• Assist with meeting room technology, peripherals and workplace technology rollouts.
• Carry out site visits to investigate issues, identify local improvements and provide hands-on support.
• Use service data and analytics to identify recurring issues, trends and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Service Desk, suppliers and operations to improve service performance.
• Support technology changes, new service transitions and adoption across the business.
• Help shape workplace engineering standards and ways of working as the role develops.
