Job summary

Expleo is seeking an experienced Interconnect and Cable Architect to work remotely with occasional travel to Belfast. You will mentor engineers and lead the end‑to‑end design of interconnect and cabling solutions for cutting‑edge defence products.

The role requires a degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) with strong LVD/EMC knowledge. You will guide trade studies, create schematics, and ensure regulatory compliance across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field; HNC/HND acceptable with demonstrable experience.
• Strong knowledge of LVD and EMC design principles.
• Experience mentoring and leading technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of interconnect and cabling architectures.
• Design cable assemblies based on electrical constraints such as current, screening, volt drop, EMC, and environmental requirements.
• Lead connector selection and manage evaluation activities.
• Create cable schematics and drawings.
• Support integration and testing of cable assemblies.
• Develop cable specifications and verification plans.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Contribute to bid and estimating activities.
