Job summary

MBDA UK is seeking an Interconnects Design Engineer to create bespoke electrical interconnects/cables for power, signal and data paths within subsystems. You will translate requirements into electrical schematics and cable designs using Visio and HarnWare, while supporting manufacturing and product trials in a dynamic hybrid setup.

The role offers exposure to complex projects in a leading defence organisation, with opportunities to evolve technically within a high capability design team and

Qualifications

• Experience with Visio and Harnware to define electrical topology and 2D drawings.
• Strong understanding of product data management and change control in Windchill or similar.
• Ability to design cable assemblies based on electrical constraints (current, screening, EMC, volt drop, environment).

Responsibilities

• Interpret sub-system requirements and generate electrical schematics and cable design definitions in Visio & HarnWare.
• Investigate cable issues and develop solutions independently or in a project team.
• Provide manufacturing support to resolve issues and assist product trials.
