Job summary

MBDA is seeking an Interconnects Design Engineer to create bespoke electrical interconnects/cables for power, signal and data transmission within subsystems. You will interpret subsystem requirements to generate schematics and cable definitions using Visio and HarnWare, and support manufacturing with issue resolution and trials.

The role offers hybrid working with 1–2 days on-site; you will work in a dynamic team of engineers within MBDA's Interconnects group, contributing to high‑tech defense

Qualifications

Experience with Visio and HarnWare for electrical interconnect design and cabling.
Understanding of electrical topology, wiring schematics, and 2D manufacturing drawing processes.
Experience with product data management and change management systems (e.g., Windchill).

Responsibilities

Define, deploy, and refine electrical interconnect design processes within Visio/HarnWare.
Create electrical schematics and cable definitions from subsystem requirements.
Support manufacturing to resolve fabrication issues and assist in product trials.
