Job summary

HCRG Care Group is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to create engaging digital and blended learning solutions across the organisation. You will shape learning journeys, collaborate with SMEs, and deliver across remote teams at Newcastle with occasional travel to the Runcorn Office.

The ideal candidate will master Articulate Storyline and Rise, ensure WCAG AA accessibility, apply evaluation models, and contribute to standards.

Qualifications

• Professional qualifications in Instructional Design, L&D, OD, or related field.
• Experiences in instructional design or digital learning roles.
• Advanced skills in Articulate Storyline and Rise are essential.
• Experience using AI tools (e.g. Synthesia, ChatGPT) in learning content creation.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging digital, blended, and face-to-face learning solutions using best-in-class instructional methods.
• Collaborate with SMEs, managers, and stakeholders to identify learning needs and define objectives.
• Develop formats including eLearning, microlearning, videos, infographics, simulations, and gamification.
• Use authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Vyond, Camtasia, Canva, and Synthesia to create content.
• Ensure accessibility (WCAG AA), ED&I, and learning theory are embedded in all design solutions.
• Apply learning evaluation models to assess impact and improve content based on analytics.
• Contribute to digital learning standards, templates, and style guides.
• Support junior team members and line manage where required.
• Use SCORM/xAPI standards and LMS platforms for delivery and evaluation.
