Job summary

Impact HR is seeking an HR Consultant to remotely support a portfolio of clients across sectors, delivering both operational and strategic HR advice with travel to client sites. You will advise on ER, absence, TUPE, and pay structures while shaping long-term people strategies.

You will work autonomously within a team, travel for client engagements, and align delivery with Impact HR’s tools and frameworks, driving business development and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Strong generalist HR background with consultancy exposure.
• Solid knowledge of UK employment law and best practices across the employee lifecycle.
• Experience in consultancy or multi-site environments is preferred.
• Excellent consulting and coaching skills.
• Proficient with MS 365 and HR systems/CRM tools.
• Strong planning, prioritisation and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of client HR issues across sectors, via phone, email, and onsite/virtual meetings.
• Deliver hands-on HR consultancy including case work, projects, and proactive support.
• Ensure consultancy delivery aligns with Impact HR tools and frameworks.
• Lead on strategic HR activities: audits, policy development, and people plans.
• Handle employee relations, absence management, TUPE and redundancy processes.
• Support onboarding, induction, and learning/development initiatives.
• Contribute to recruitment, selection, and pay/benefits guidance.
• Support business development and networking to grow client accounts.
