Job summary

FairMoney is seeking a senior collections leader to drive end-to-end performance, stabilise cash collection, and shape upstream inputs across Risk, Product, CX, and Tech. You will own outcomes, design multi-horizon strategies, and implement segmentation-driven treatments with measurable ROI.

You will build a high-calibre leadership bench, balance customer value with firm controls, and partner with senior leadership to deliver a transformation roadmap.

Qualifications

• Minimum of first degree in any related field.
• Minimum of 8 years proven experience in Collections with good leadership experience.
• Senior leadership experience in collections within lending, fintech, or credit-led businesses.
• Proven track record of turning around or materially improving collections performance.
• Experience operating in data-rich, fast-moving environments.
• This role is open only to applicants willing to spend at least one week per month in Nigeria.

Responsibilities

• Full accountability for cash collected, arrears, roll-rates, PAR/NPL, and recovery economics.
• Own outcomes, not activities or excuses.
• Actively shape upstream inputs (Risk, Product, CX, Tech) to improve downstream collections performance.
• Design and execute a multi-horizon collections strategy through cash optimization and recovery improvement.
• Build structured segmentation-driven treatment strategies and behavioural interventions.
• Introduce clear experimentation frameworks (control vs test, ROI-driven rollouts).
• Use data to drive decisions and report with accountability.
• Develop leaders, not just agents, and create a culture of accountability.
