Job summary

LemFi seeks a Head of Collections to define and own end-to-end collections strategy, policy, and operations across product lines in a fast-growing fintech. You will balance recovery with customer fairness while driving data-driven governance and setting clear targets.

As a hands-on leader, you’ll build playbooks, collaborate with Product, Engineering, Legal and Finance, and ensure FCA compliance. This role demands strategic vision and practical execution.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in consumer (B2C) collections or credit risk.
• Proven track record spanning strategy design and hands-on delivery.
• Experience managing or building a collections team with clear priorities.
• Working knowledge of FCA CONC 7 and Consumer Duty obligations.
• Data-driven analysis using SQL/BI tools; willingness to bring AI into workflow.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end collections strategy across all product lines.
• Set and own portfolio-level targets with data-driven governance.
• Build operational playbooks and accelerate cycle times using AI.
• Lead, coach and grow a collections team with clear prioritisation.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Legal and Finance to embed logic and ensure compliance.
• Identify and manage relationships with third-party agencies and bureaus.
• Report portfolio health and strategic recommendations to leadership.
