Hitachi Energy is seeking a highly motivated Sales Specialist to join our Grid Integration team in Birmingham, UK. You will identify opportunities, engage customers early in projects, and position Hitachi Energy as the partner of choice through value-based, solution-oriented selling.

You will apply strong Electrical knowledge and commercial acumen to develop customer relationships, influence specifications, and win strategic opportunities across transmission, distribution, renewables, and data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience in technical sales, business development, or account management in power T&D.
• Strong knowledge of electrical grid infrastructure, substations, and T&D systems.
• Experience with Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) products and solutions.
• HV 400kV–132kV and MV 66kV–11kV knowledge; industrial substation experience.
• Proven success in solution selling and influencing early project stages.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales growth for Grid Integration solutions across T&D, Data Centre, Renewables, Industrial and Transport segments.
• Lead up-front selling of solutions with utilities, consultants, EPCs, and other stakeholders during the early stages of project development.
• Promote and sell Gas (GIS), Hybrid & Air Insulated solutions (AIS) and broader substation technologies.
• Develop and execute account plans for utilities, industrial customers, renewable developers, and key partners.
• Identify market opportunities and create strategies to increase market share and profitability.
• Build strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers throughout the customer journey.
• Collaborate with engineering, proposal, and project teams to develop compelling technical and commercial solutions.
• Support bid management activities, including proposal preparation, contract negotiations, and customer presentations.
