Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking an Executive Director of Business Development (Strategic Accounts) to drive enterprise-level growth across global accounts and strategic partnerships. You will lead multi-functional teams, navigate complex procurement, and craft client-centric growth strategies aligned with global objectives.

The role requires deep industry relationships, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to travel ~60% while delivering multi-year account plans and high-impact proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in a science related field; graduate degree preferred.
• Proven experience in strategic sales, global BD, or client management.
• Deep pharma knowledge and clinical development lifecycle experience.
• Track record in negotiating MSAs and leading provider pursuits.
• Strong relationships with mid- to executive-level stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead global BD efforts across high-value accounts to drive growth.
• Identify and pursue enterprise opportunities, MSAs, and alliances.
• Develop multi-year strategic growth plans for global clients.
• Act as strategic advisor to client executives and stakeholders.
• Navigate procurement, influence decisions, and streamline contracting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tailor client solutions.
• Lead proposals, RFP responses, and executive presentations.
• Maintain CRM records including strategy, contacts, and opportunities.
