Job summary

QCIC is seeking an Application Engineer to provide remote operational support for enterprise-level electronic security systems, including access control and CCTV. The role involves testing, upgrades, patching, and day-to-day maintenance, with governance and change control.

You will join a global engineering team across the UK, South Africa and the US, handling helpdesk-style support, incident triage, network and SQL considerations, and liaison with hardware vendors to ensure systems stay

Qualifications

• Experience with Enterprise Level Electronic Security Systems.
• Experience deploying or supporting security applications.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving.
• Experience with ticketing systems.
• Ability to work with remote connectivity tools.
• Good communication with peers and clients.
• Knowledge of GDPR and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Test/validate new version releases, upgrades, patching, change mgmt.
• Helpdesk Support / Telephonic Customer Service experience
• Respond to application-related issues with limited impact
• Routine maintenance of Access Control & CCTV applications
• Day to day operations – maintenance and support – including ticket triage and escalations
• Testing/validation of changes, repairs and additions with hardware vendors or installation teams
• Monitor site/region activities including audits or health checks for access control, CCTV, and intrusion systems
• Provide security application support to client infrastructure teams
• Maintain and apply system standards and configurations
• Escalate and liaise with manufacturer for Level 3 support
