Job summary

QCIC is seeking an Application Engineer to provide remote operational support for enterprise electronic security systems. You will join a global engineering team collaborating with colleagues in the UK, South Africa, and the US.

The role involves testing, maintenance, and support across Access Control and CCTV applications, with opportunities to work remotely and engage with customers and internal infrastructure teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with Enterprise Level Electronic Security Systems.
• Experience with deploying and/or supporting security solutions.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Experience with ticketing systems.
• Able to assess reported issues and rectify.
• Able to work with remote connectivity tools.
• Excellent communication skills to peers and clients.
• Advanced knowledge: Genetec VSS & Genetec EACS; Ccure9000.
• Genetec experience is highly beneficial.
• Microsoft OS support.
• Network diagnostics.
• Understanding of SQL and Databases.
• Data protection and GDPR awareness.

Responsibilities

• Testing/validation of new version releases, upgrades, patches, and changes.
• Provide helpdesk/telephonic customer support.
• Respond to application-related issues with limited business impact.
• Routine maintenance of Access Control & CCTV apps.
• Day-to-day operations: support, ticket triage, escalations.
• Test and validate changes with vendors or installation teams.
• Monitor site or regional activities: access control, CCTV, intrusion.
• Support client infrastructure teams with servers and networks.
