Job summary

Ascenti is seeking an experienced Full-Stack Software Engineer to help shape our digital products. You will join Ascenti Digital, the team responsible for designing, building and supporting the technology that powers our organisation across the UK.

You will work closely with our Head of Engineering, CTO and fellow Engineers to develop scalable, high-quality applications across our growing product portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience in building modern full-stack applications using React, TypeScript and related technologies.
• Ability to influence technical direction and contribute to software architecture.
• Mentor colleagues and promote engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing and maintaining modern full-stack applications using React, TypeScript and related technologies.
• Taking technical ownership of features and helping shape future software architecture.
• Building intuitive, responsive user interfaces with a strong focus on user experience.
• Working across both front-end and back-end systems to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
• Collaborating closely with Product, Digital and Business stakeholders to turn ideas into working software.
• Improving code quality through testing, peer reviews and engineering best practices.
• Mentoring junior engineers and helping develop a collaborative engineering culture.
• Contributing to Agile ways of working and continuous improvement across the Digital function.
• Supporting innovation by exploring new technologies, including AI-assisted development tools.
