Job summary

Gallagher Bassett is seeking a Field Team Manager – Loss Adjusting Services to lead a team of fee-earning Loss Adjusters across a designated area. You will oversee performance, provide technical guidance, and maintain stakeholder relationships while ensuring service excellence.

The role combines leadership with hands-on claims management, requiring strong communication skills, risk awareness and a commitment to high-quality outcomes. Remote work is supported, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• In-depth technical knowledge of loss adjusting and claims handling.
• Proven ability to manage performance against KPIs and deliver results.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of Loss Adjusters, driving performance against key operational and financial targets.
• Conduct regular one-to-ones, performance reviews and appraisals to support employee development and engagement.
• Partner with technical leaders to identify coaching, training and development opportunities.
• Personally manage a portfolio of claims, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
• Provide technical guidance and act as an escalation point for complex claims matters.
• Review and approve reports, ensuring technical accuracy, compliance and quality standards are maintained.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, policyholders and key stakeholders.
• Monitor workloads and ensure claims are progressed in line with service level agreements and business objectives.
• Foster a positive, collaborative and high-performing team culture.
