Job summary

Gallagher Bassett is seeking a Property Loss Adjuster to handle a diverse caseload of property claims, with remote work and travel across the South West. You will manage claims end-to-end, investigating, assessing coverage, and negotiating settlements to meet client requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience handling domestic and commercial property claims.
• Strong knowledge of property claims management, investigation and settlement.
• Ability to assess policy coverage, liability and quantum.
• Experience liaising with insurers, policyholders, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, organisational and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise effectively.
• CILA and/or CII qualifications would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of property claims (commercial and domestic).
• Investigate losses and produce detailed reports and recommendations.
• Assess policy coverage, liability and quantum.
• Negotiate settlements and pursue recoveries where appropriate.
• Liaise with insurers, policyholders, brokers, builders and contractors throughout the claims lifecycle.
• Schedule and oversee repair works where required.
• Attend client meetings and site visits.
• Contribute to claims audits and maintain records.
