Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an innovative Executive Chef for a renowned hotel group in a remote-first capacity. You will guide culinary direction and strategy virtually while supporting on-site teams across multiple properties.

You will lead menu development, cost control, and kitchen operations, mentoring chefs and ensuring food safety. Strong leadership and communication are essential to drive excellence from distance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of progressive culinary experience with at least 4 years in Exec/Head Chef roles.
• Proven track record in menu development, kitchen management, and cost control.
• Strong leadership, communication and team-building skills.
• Experience managing multiple sites remotely and budgeting.
• Formal culinary qualifications are essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee creative, high-quality menus for outlets and events across the portfolio.
• Ensure consistency in food preparation, presentation, and quality across properties.
• Manage kitchen operations, inventory, costs, and waste reduction.
• Lead, mentor and inspire culinary teams virtually and on-site during visits.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, sanitation and food safety.
• Control food and labor costs to meet budgets.
• Collaborate with suppliers and negotiate pricing.
• Stay ahead of trends and drive innovation in menus and techniques.
• Conduct virtual training and development for staff.
• Develop and implement SOPs for kitchen functions.
