Job summary

Teleperformance Southampton is seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to support the UK and Ireland, providing expert ER advice to managers and handling complex cases. The role involves tribunal readiness, policy review, and close collaboration with HR partners.

The position offers remote or hybrid working options within the UK, with a permanent full-time contract and a focus on delivering fair, legally compliant employee relations support.

Qualifications

• Experience in Employee Relations or HR with complex casework.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law (Equality Act, ERA, and related legislation).
• CIPD qualification or working towards it is preferred.
• Mediation training or accredited mediator status is a plus.
• Exposure to Employment Tribunal preparation or early conciliation activities.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first contact for managers on complex ER matters with pragmatic, legally sound advice.
• Manage cases across the ER spectrum: disciplinary, grievance, absence, wellbeing, performance.
• Assist with Employment Tribunal activity with coaching from ER Manager.
• Draft and negotiate settlement agreements.
• Contribute to organisational change programs (redeployment, restructuring, TUPE).
• Collaborate with HR Business Partners and stakeholders across Operations, Payroll, IT, Finance and Legal.
• Review HR policies and the Employee Handbook for UK/Ireland compliance.
• Utilise ER data to identify trends and reduce risk; drive process improvements.
