Job summary

Serco is seeking an Employee Relations Partner to join our team. You will be based at home (Solihull attached) with travel across the UK. This full-time permanent role focuses on advising on UK employment law, representing the company at Employment Tribunals, and leading ACAS conciliation activity.

You will manage claims, draft responses, negotiate settlements, and provide strategic guidance to managers. The role requires robust ER experience and a proactive, detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and data protection.
• Hands-on experience representing an organisation at Employment Tribunal hearings (preliminary and final).
• CIPD qualification or working towards is desirable; practical in-house ER experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Manage ACAS Early Conciliation and Employment Tribunal activity.
• Advocate at Employment Tribunal hearings when required.
• Provide risk evaluations and advise stakeholders on strategy and prospects.
• Draft ET responses and case management documents.
• Coordinate with ACAS, unions, solicitors and barristers.
• Support settlement negotiations and draft related agreements.
• Guide internal ER cases and contribute to training materials.
