Job summary

KnowledgeBrief is seeking a proactive Business Development Manager to grow apprenticeship partnerships with large employers across the UK. The role involves consultative selling, multi-stakeholder engagement, and building long-term employer relationships.

You will report to the Enterprise Sales Manager and collaborate with Marketing and Client Partnerships to convert opportunities into learner starts. The position is remote-first with travel to London several times a year; salary £35,000–£45,000

Qualifications

• Experience using a consultative sales approach to understand client needs and achieve commercial results.
• Experience engaging senior decision-makers and managing multi-stakeholder opportunities.
• Confident communication and presentation skills to explain value of learning solutions.
• Strong research, organisation and CRM skills for pipeline management.
• Self-motivation and resilience to work effectively remotely within a sales team.

Responsibilities

• Identify and research prospective employers, prioritising opportunities and building a strong pipeline.
• Generate new business through calls, email, LinkedIn, networking and Marketing collaboration.
• Build relationships with HR and L&D Directors and other senior stakeholders across organisations.
• Lead discovery conversations, asking thoughtful questions and tailoring programmes to needs.
• Prepare proposals linking learning to client priorities and progressing opportunities to learner starts.
• Develop trusted relationships with employers and identify opportunities for further learning as needs develop.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure programme fit and a smooth handover.
• Represent KnowledgeBrief clearly and honestly about what we can offer.
• Meet monthly apprenticeship start targets with up-to-date CRM records and forecasts.
