KnowledgeBrief is hiring a Business Development Manager for the Public Sector. The role is remote (UK) with essential travel to London (six times a year) and travel expenses reimbursed. Salary ranges from £35,000 to £45,000 per year, with an uncapped commission structure.

Start date in January 2027; closing date 9 November 2026. You will grow apprenticeship partnerships in the public sector, including NHS bodies and local authorities, using a consultative approach to identify workforce

Competenze

• Experience using a consultative sales approach to understand client needs and achieve commercial results.
• Experience developing business with public sector organisations and understanding stakeholder structures.
• Confident communication and presentation skills to explain the value of learning solutions.
• Strong research, organisation and CRM skills to manage a pipeline and follow through on commitments.
• Self-motivation to work effectively remotely while contributing to a sales team.

• Identify and research prospective employers in the public sector to build a strong pipeline.
• Generate new business through targeted calls, email, LinkedIn, and marketing collaboration.
• Develop relationships with public sector HR and workforce leads and navigate approvals and purchases.
• Lead discovery conversations and tailor proposals connecting learning to client priorities.
• Prepare proposals and drive learner starts through to agreement with employers.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and provide pipeline updates and forecasts.
