Job summary

Babington seeks a driven Regional Business Development Manager to act as a key ambassador in the Midlands region. This remote-based role focuses on new business development, strategic partnerships, and expanding existing client relationships to promote apprenticeships as strategic solutions.

You will develop regional sales plans, manage a robust pipeline, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and delivery while traveling as needed to client sites.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in B2B and/or B2C sales within training or apprenticeships.
• Strong track record of achieving sales targets and winning new business.
• Experience managing and growing client accounts.
• Ability to engage and influence senior decision-makers.
• Familiar with SPIN or Challenger sales methods.
• Knowledge of apprenticeship funding/regulation is desirable.
• Driving licence and travel willingness.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities across SME and corporate markets.
• Develop and execute regional engagement and sales plans to generate leads and apprenticeship opportunities.
• Build and manage a strong pipeline to achieve revenue and start targets.
• Deliver a consultative sales approach, tailoring apprenticeship solutions to client needs.
• Provide expert advice on apprenticeships, including funding and levy guidance.
• Maintain strong client relationships at all levels and ensure excellent customer experience.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure onboarding and delivery.
• Accurately manage CRM systems and complete required administration.
• Stay informed on market trends and regulatory changes.
