Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an Engineering Manager, Automation Intelligence for a fully remote UK-based role. You will lead a high-impact team building an AI-powered detection platform to distinguish legitimate AI agents and automated traffic from malicious bots.

You’ll drive beta to GA, ensure reliability, and collaborate with leadership across product, security, and engineering. You will establish quality-driven practices, guide classification systems, and enable an agent-first development workflow

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering management experience leading software engineers with a track record of delivering products through launch.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience with ability to assess designs and make technical trade-offs.
• Strong domain expertise in bot detection, fraud prevention, web security, or related areas.
• Hands-on AI coding experience with AI coding agents and practical understanding of their strengths and limits.
• Product and cross-functional leadership experience with collaboration across product managers, researchers, and customer-facing teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the engineering roadmap from beta to GA and commercial launch, aligning with product management on requirements and prioritization.
• Define service reliability targets, throughput, latency, and SLOs to meet production requirements.
• Establish a detection quality framework with tests, datasets, and monitoring to improve performance.
• Guide AI agent detection capabilities and classifications, including context, confidence, and reason codes.
• Lead staged rollouts with feature flags and customer feedback into prioritized engineering improvements.
• Build and develop a high-performing engineering team with clear ownership and growth opportunities.
• Establish coding standards, code reviews, and performance benchmarks across delivery teams.
• Collaborate across adjacent engineering teams to reduce dependencies and enable autonomous development.
• Lead an AI-native engineering model with agent-first workflows and governance for safety and quality.
