Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Staff Application Security Engineer based in the United Kingdom. You will design and scale an application security function within a high-growth tech environment, combining deep security expertise with hands-on software engineering to strengthen development workflows and tooling.

You will lead threat modeling, security reviews, and vulnerability remediation across APIs, SDKs, and cloud systems, while integrating AI-powered tools into testing and remediation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software or security engineering with 5+ years in application security.
• Hands-on implementation over consulting or auditing.
• Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and API security.
• Experience with secure SDLC and secure coding training.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure SDLC across engineering workflows.
• Own and improve security tooling and CI/CD integration.
• Lead threat modeling and architecture security reviews.
• Develop AI-first security engineering approaches and agents.
• Mentor engineers on secure coding and review findings.
• Develop and deploy secure default patterns and libraries.
• Coordinate vulnerability management and remediation SLAs.
