Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an Engineering Manager based in the United Kingdom to lead distributed engineering teams building scalable cloud-native software. You will partner with product managers, designers, and other engineering managers to shape strategy, drive delivery, and raise engineering standards in a fully remote, international environment.

• Proven track record delivering complex software in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong product-minded collaboration with Product Managers and Designers on discovery and prioritization.
• Technical judgment to participate in architectural discussions and guide decisions.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, balance priorities, and own outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Engineering Teams: set expectations, provide feedback, and empower engineers.
• Drive Product Outcomes: partner with PMs and Designers through discovery and prioritization.
• Shape Technical and Product Decisions: evaluate trade-offs between impact, delivery speed, and complexity.
• Own Engineering Execution: oversee planning, implementation, deployment, and operations.
• Ensure Predictable Delivery: manage dependencies and risks with transparency.
• Guide Technical Direction: contribute to architecture, standards, and maintainability.
• Improve Engineering Practices: promote automated testing, CI/CD, and code reviews.
• Promote AI-Assisted Development: leverage LLMs and coding assistants to boost quality.
• Collaborate Across Squads: align with stakeholders for broader objectives.
• Foster High-Performance Culture: inclusive, accountable, and learning-focused environment.
