Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a DevOps Engineer for a leading enterprise technology organisation. The role focuses on Windows Server management, AWS infrastructure, Terraform IaC, GitHub Actions CI/CD, and automation to improve reliability and efficiency.

This remote UK position is a 3 month contract (Inside IR35) with potential extensions, offering opportunities to work with globally distributed teams across Europe, India, and the US.

Qualifications

• Strong experience supporting Windows Server environments with patching, remediation and deployments
• Hands-on AWS experience, EC2 administration and infrastructure management
• Proven Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
• Strong Python scripting for automation and infra management
• Experience with Ansible and Packer for configuration and automation
• Experience with YAML-based deployment/config frameworks
• Excellent communication and ability to work autonomously in fast-paced environments
• Experience supporting cloud infra operations and production environments

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Windows Server infrastructure, including patching and deployments
• Support and administer AWS EC2 environments and cloud infrastructure
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Build, optimise, and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Create and maintain automated deployment processes using Python, Ansible and Packer
• Develop standardised machine images and infrastructure configurations
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams across regions
• Leverage AI-powered tools to improve operational efficiency and automate infrastructure management
• Identify opportunities to enhance reliability and deployment processes
